Lars Bentzon new World Backgammon Champion!

 

Lars Bentzon (DNK) has defeated Ricardo Malas (ESP) to become 2010 World Backgammon Champion. The victory came on Sunday, July 18, 2010.

The new 2010 World Backgammon Champion is Danish backgammon and poker player, Lars ’Buster’ Bentzon. Lars took home the 1st prize of €60,000 1st prize and the most prestigious title in backgammon after defeating 157 others including Pia Jeppesen, 23-16, to reach the final against Spanish player Ricardo Mala. Lars would triumph 25-9 and take the title of 2010 World Backgammon Champion.
